A vegan take on Subway will open in Sydney’s St Peters in November, offering plant-based, Aussie-inspired sandwiches.
Co-founder Bhavani Baumann has partnered with retail precinct developers, Panthera Group, to launch Sanga, part of a new retail strip in King Street boasting a range of new restaurants and cafes.
“Our vision for Sanga was to design an all encompassing plant-based experience which reflected the Australian passion for a delicious ‘sanga’ with an ethical approach to good food and an Aussie take on a vegan sandwich,” said Baumann, who co-founded Australia’s first vegan pub bistro, The Green Lion, in 2016.
Expected to open on 15 November, Sanga will allow customer to build their own sandwich, while also offering a range of pastries, salad bowls, cookies, cheesecake cups and lamingtons.
“With a growing demand for plant-based food in Newtown and St Peters along with resident and commuting traffic, Sanga will arrive at the perfect time as restrictions ease, “ said Panthera CEO, Chakyl Camal.
