Joanne Ford, former CFO at Nestlé Nespresso, is the newest member on the Wide Open Agriculture (WOA) board, bringing with her more than 30 years’ experience in ASX and overseas listed groups.
Ford has significant food industry experience, working as CFO at Nestlé Nespresso from 2008 to 2015. Throughout this tenture, Ford led the turnaround of Nespresso USA’s finance team, where she drove the completion of the 3-year Acceleration Plan and delivered a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 30 percent.
Ford has also held positions as CFO, director of finance and company secretary at a number of listed and unlisted companies including Navitas, Mycolivia Group and Delica Therapeutics.
“I am delighted to join the board of WOA, with its strong purpose driving innovation in the agriculture and food industry and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals,” Ford said.
Ford’s appointment means WOA has hit its target, set in October 2022, of having two female directors on its board of five.
“This represents yet another example of WOA’s ESG credentials, which are part of the company’s DNA,” said chair Anthony Maslin.
Ford replaces Stuart McAlpine, who has been a non-executive director of WOA since 2015.
