Tip Top Foodservice’s Australian Garlic Bread Co (AGB) has added a new Sourdough Garlic Bread, with extra garlic, to its offering.
Available for the foodservice market, the new 8-inch sourdough garlic bread loaf has double the garlic of AGB’s 9-inch garlic sub.
The vegan loaves have a mild sourdough tang and a more open crumb structure to enable more garlic to absorb into the dough.
With the hospitality industry currently experienced crippling staff shortages and increased costs, Darren O’Brien, bakery innovation manager at Tip Top Foodservice, said products like the new Sourdough Garlic Bread can make a real difference for foodservice operators.
“The Australian Garlic Bread Co Sourdough Garlic Bread has a rustic look, with a generous spread of garlic right to the edges, so it will fast become a diner favourite,” he said. “It’s a next level version of everyday garlic bread so caters well to those that want the look and feel of homemade without the time and effort involved.”
The new sourdough loaf is frozen soon after baking, with the product delivered frozen in cartons of 40. Available nationally from foodservice distributors, it has a six month frozen shelf life and defrosts quickly, so can be thawed as needed.
