Leaders from cellular agriculture will now take the stage, as will Jaclyn Aldenhoven from the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist.
Hosted at Sydney University’s Refectory event space on 15 November, the Future-Proofing Alt Proteins: a R&D Deep Dive event will provide unique insight into the nuances of alt protein R&D, with industry leaders discussing the most significant obstacles and opportunities.
Co-hosted by Future Alternative and Sydney University’s Alt Protein CRC, the one-day event will see leaders from government, academia, manufacturing and agriscience congregate to discuss the best ways to navigate R&D in a fruitful and timely manner.
New additions to the day’s program include:
- Sam Perkins, CEO of Cellular Agriculture Australia (CAA), a not-for-profit dedicated to developing a future-fit workforce, open access research and an enabling environment for a thriving cellular agriculture industry in Australia. - Johannes le Coutre, Professor Food & Health, UNSW. With the goal to strengthen food security and alleviate the agricultural burden on the environment, le Coutre is developing a broad research agenda on cellular agriculture.
- Jaclyn Aldenhoven, director, Future Industries at the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist, which consults with academia, industry and government to ensure that knowledge and research can be adapted and used to benefit NSW.
