Newly founded market research company, Alternative Proteins Global (APG) is hosting an industry networking event in Sydney on Thursday, 31 August.
Promoted as an opportunity to meet and connect with others in the alternative protein industry, and learn from industry experts, the event will take place at the Sydney Startup Hub, in Sydney’s CBD.
The night will offer a number of networking opportunities, with start-ups, established companies, investors and students all expected to attend, and will also see a number of industry experts presenting and taking part in Q&A sessions.
These experts include:
- Allen Zelden, co-founder of Plantform. Zelden will provide an overview of the plant-based industry in Australia, exploring strategies for effective manufacturing and marketing, while also discussing the challenges and opportunities facing the industry now and in the future.
- Teresa Romanovsky, director of opportunities at Careers for Purpose. Romanovsky will provide insight into the Australian job market for the alternative protein industry, looking at the skills and experiences most in demand at the moment.
- Sarah Qian, founder of Compassion Creamery. Qian will share her start-up journey and shed light on the ups and downs of launching her own plant-based cheese company. (Listen to our podcast ep with Qian here).
- Nicholas Dahl, founder of Alternative Proteins Global. Dahl will share the latest insights into companies, products, investments and investors in the Australian and global alternative protein sector.
Running from 5-9pm, the event will also profile a variety of plant-based meat, seafood and dairy products from Australian companies.
