Established in 1899, this is the first time Bega Group has launched a product in the plant-based sector.

Bega’s Plant Based Cheese is made from five percent fava bean protein, and comes in sliced and shredded formats.

The product is made in Strathmerton and packed in the Bega Valley.

“The launch of Bega’s Plant Based Cheese is an important evolution to ensure that Bega Group is positioned to take advantage of the growing plant-based segment. We have credentials in cheese making and we’re excited to leverage this knowledge and expertise to create a great tasting dairy-free range under the Bega brand,” said general manager marketing, Matt Gray.

Bega Plant Based Cheddar Cheese Style is available at Coles supermarkets, and will be stocked in independent stores from July.
