YAY! Foods Marinated Plant-Based Feta will this week be available at selected Woolworths stores in Victoria and New South Wales.
Based in Melbourne, YAY! Feta is made with tofu and coconut oil and is most similar to Danish-style feta cheese products, with a smooth and creamy consistency.
“Plenty of YAY! Food fans have told us they wanted to make the switch to a plant-based diet full-time, but their love of cheese is what kept them from making the change. What’s so exciting and revolutionary about our product is that YAY! Feta really hits that ‘cheesy’ spot, so now people can eat less dairy, or make a permanent switch to vegan alternatives like ours,” said founders Nergiz Yuksel and Nalin Arileo.
“Woolworths is very committed to making great plant-based food easily accessible to Australian shoppers. We were approached directly by Woolworths because their team recognised YAY! Feta as one of the best vegan cheese products on the market,” they said.
YAY! Foods Marinated Plant-based Feta will be available in the vegan chiller area at selected stores in Melbourne and Sydney, and will retail for $14 per 300g jar.
