New Zealand infant nutrition company Haven has launched what it claims to be the world’s first completely oat-based toddler drink.
The company says its product is 100% plant-based and nutritionally equivalent to its A2 cow and goat toddler milks with the same levels of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals.
Haven Oat said that it has been more than two years in development of products for the growing number of parents seeking plant-based toddler drink options for ethical or environmental reasons. The company added that its toddler drink uses a single plant-based source versus a blend and purposely chose every ingredient in Haven Oat, from oat protein to dairy-free probiotics and algal-sourced DHA (Omega3).
“We are incredibly grateful to Chemist Warehouse New Zealand and Foodstuffs North Island Limited and Foodstuffs South Island who believed in our vision and have supported us to bring this unique innovation, in an otherwise stodgy category – to New Zealand parents,” the company said in a social media post.
Made in New Zealand, Haven Oat will launch in Australia later this month and in the US market in the middle of 2024.
