Fine Food Australia 2024 is coming to the MCEC Melbourne from 2 to 5 Sep 2024, bringing a wide variety of plant-based brands along with related activities.
“With Fine Food Australia 2024 on the doorstep, we are excited about some of the break-through trends emerging in the food and beverage landscape, such as the unstoppable momentum of the alternative protein and dairy product industry,” the event organisers said in a press release.
“Reflecting the consistent rise in consumer demand for health-conscious and environmentally sustainable proteins, this year’s event agenda includes some groundbreaking developments in Australia’s favourite plant-based products.”
The organisers added that this year’s event is not just about tasting alternative protein and dairy offerings but also about understanding the science and strategy behind them. At 1:45 pm on Monday, 2 September, the team from food education consultancy Straight to the Source will be speaking on flavour, nutrition, and cost, as well as demonstrating how to create menus that work for every palate.
Attendees can also look forward to hearing from plant-based exhibitors, including:

Fine Food Australia is billed as the leading trade exhibition for the foodservice, hospitality, and retail industries as well as the country’s key platform for discovering the latest trends and connecting with industry leaders.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the event is also partnering with the Victorian Government — Global Victoria will host a Victorian Exhibition Pavilion in the Taste of Australia zone, featuring a diverse selection of 30 Victorian food and beverage companies.
A number of first nations food and fibre businesses will exhibit as part of the Victorian stand.
According to the show’s organisers, last year’s Fine Food Australia event drew tens of thousands of visitors over its four day run, with data from past shows indicating that 48% of attendees to Fine Food Australia go to see products from the natural and organics category.
