Australian F&B manufacturer Bega has introduced its new Dare Iced Coffee dairy free range, made with Rainforest Alliance-certified Robusta and Arabica coffee and oat milk.

Bega Group marketing manager iced coffee Adelle Cosgrove said almost one in five Australians now considered themselves flexitarian, with consumers increasingly looking to reduce their dairy intake while still enjoying milk-based beverages.

“Dare Dairy Free is a great-tasting option for those seeking a dairy free fix without sacrificing the enjoyment of a classic Dare Iced Coffee experience,” Cosgrove said. “This launch is not a farewell to dairy, but rather a hello to great options in Dare’s legendary line-up. We welcome all Aussies who are seeking a dairy-free iced coffee to pick up Dare Dairy Free next time they’re on the go.

Plant-based milk consumption is on the rise among Aussies – data from Western Australia coffee shop chain Muzz Buzz found that drink orders using dairy alternatives such as oat, soy, almond, and lactose free products across its 34 sites increased by over 260% between 2021 and 2022.

Dare Dairy Free – which comes in Double Espresso and Mocha flavours – is available at independents and convenience stores, and is soon to be on shelves at Coles and Woolworths stores nationally.
