Forbidden Foods’ Blue Dinosaur snack brand has launched a new range of Vegan Protein Bars comprising three flavours: Peanut Butter and Mylk Choc, Peanut Butter and Caramel Choc, and Peanut Butter and Jelly.
The range utilises industry leading zero waste packaging, and Blue Dinosaur is now the first snack bar brand with national ranging to implement home compostable wrappers.
The range is wrapped in 100 percent organic and plant-based packaging which is tested to decompose in a domestic compost bin in 26 weeks, leaving no toxic residues. The independently certified home compostable packaging breaks down to CO2, H2O and biomass, whereas traditional soft and degradable plastics are made using petrochemicals which can take up to 1,000 years to break down and can leave harmful micro-plastics in the environment.
The Vegan Protein Bars are stocked in a number of independent retailers and – from May 2022 – nationally in Chemist Warehouse’s 300-plus stores.
Blue Dinosaur was acquired by ASX-listed plant-based food company, Forbidden Foods, in October 2021.
